Three key innovations on developed by Kelly & Shepherd (the automated scraper, Optimum Moisture Plough and GPS-based machine monitoring) are aimed at ensuring our quality management is the best we can achieve.
By virtually eliminating stakes and stringlines from our projects, we have removed the need for people on the ground around heavy earthmoving equipment. That is a major element in increasing on-site safety.
Our GPS-based automated scraper operation removes a lot of the mental stress from operators, as well as removing the need for constant twisting and turning during final trim filling.
These are additional to our on-going OH&S management programs, which include daily (at least) toolbox sessions, on-site mobile email capability to highlight any safety issues and other standard high-level safety practices.
